My Lonely Journey

Computer Science

My computer science background from University, was the foundation of my journey to explore the Universe. My burning question was how Wi-Fi signals could transmit through the air and it drove me dive deeper. Mapping to human system, I questioned how human brain could emit thought energy through the air. Then I found some clues in Neuroscience.

Quantum Physics

Next, I questioned how Radio signals could transmit in the air and I predicted it would be the same way the Wi-Fi signals work. This led me to exploring the quantum field, including energy, vibrations and frequencies. I studied these subjects from Nicolas Tesla, Albert Einstein, Guglielmo Marconi. From there, I kept linking back to human brain as the centre of my curiosity.

Until this point, my imagination went crazy! I realised that how the Universe works was far beyond what human language could explain. Meanwhile, I began to sense energies in the quantum field, I caught signals from others through my (psychic) senses. I tried to close my eyes and sensed the Universe. It was right there in front of me but it was far away at the same time. I could comprehend how Wi-Fi and Radio signals transmitted around me by my (psychic) eye. Particularly, music from radio channels would be right there around me, what I needed to do is to just tune in!

Human Nature

After experiencing the field, I began to question what my soul was. I sensed something without being about to explain it. At that time, I was so thrilled to realise how powerful the heart energy was, and how it operated in harmony with our whole energy system. It’s human nature, a magnificent creation in the Universe. At this point, I started to question about the Creator, the Supreme, and the Divine Love.

The Supreme, The Unseen...

As an atheist with the mind dive deeply in computer science, I never believed in God. Fortunately, my above-mentioned experiences opened my mind to the existence of the Universe. However, I insisted that God was the Universe and vice verse, we actually talked about the same thing. However, it didn’t satisfy my curious mind. I prayed to the Spirit, the Unseen, or the Magical energy to show me more. I even challenged the Unseen by saying “If you’re real, please show me!” Then things started to unfold to me. Long story short, I was guided to different events that eventually led me to finding the ancient knowledge of India, originally written in Sanskrit language.

The Real Taste Of Knowledge

I studied these ancient texts carefully and enthusiastically. All my questions were gradually answered perfectly. I cross-checked with my personal experiences and I was amazed! All pieces of the puzzle were now in place. Immediately I found it the most profound knowledge and wisdom that I hadn’t ever encountered, in spite of my three degrees in education in both Australia and Vietnam.

I Prayed and Swami Prabhupada Appeared!

It was May 2022, I experienced my internal conflict at the extreme level, so I prayed! I begged for my soul to evolve in order to see the ultimate path in life. I chose this spiritual approach (praying) because it worked for me before during my crisis in 2017.

Until September 2022, after a few incidents took place, Swami Prabhupada appeared through his books, given to me by a devotee. Today, I can tell, it was the answer to my prayer!

I’d honestly admit that the first time I came across Swami Prabhupada on the Internet, I didn’t like the look of the orange clothes, the (japa) bag and the mark on his forehead (tilaka). It was the first sight of my material eyes, due to my ignorance please forgive me! Meanwhile, I was convinced to read his books so I scanned them with great resistance. The reason is, coming from the atheist background, I wasn’t interested in religion, and I unconsciously related him to religion.

However, as a daily meditator in a good progress, I continued to seek more. I was curious about Transcendental Meditation which I once heard from George Harrison, The Beatles – the Rock band. I started to check out George Harrison’s spiritual journey.

Anyone who is steady in his determination for the advanced stage of spiritual realization and can equally tolerate the onslaughts of distress and happiness is certainly a person eligible for liberation.” ~A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada

George Harrison & Swami Prabhupada

Fortunately, I had the book “Chant and Be Happy” at home. In this book, there were a number of conversations from George Harrison about Srila Prabhupada. It was those moments that challenged my mind, and eventually changed my misconception about Srila Prabhupada. From George’s words, I came to know how impressive Prabhupada’s contribution was. The striking fact that completely convinced me was, George even led musical events, composed musical songs based on Prabhupada’s inspirations. What’s more, George bought and donated a 17 acres of land to Srila Prabhupada to help people around the world on his devotional loving service. George quickly saw the values and the meaning in Srila Prabhpada’s work and he wanted to contribute to this good cause for humanity. Today, that land grew to a generous 17 acres and became the home of devotees in England, called Bhaktivedanta Manor.

Just before Srila Prabhupada left this world in 1977, he removed the ring on his right hand and said to the disciples around him, “This is for George, give it to him.” Over the years, George kept contact with the community but wished not to be in the limelight. When it was needed, he was giving his full moral support, although preferring not to be in the media.

My Spiritual Destiny

Going to the West searching for a better solution for my life, what I learned really concerned me about the stage of the world and its progress. All my studies in my three degrees failed to provide me a solution that may help me find the better life in the Western world. It turned out that my journey to the Western world ended up finding the meaning of life from the Eastern wisdom, and through Swami Prabhupada’s loving service.

“Thanks Swami Prabhupada! Although I never met you in person, the knowledge I learned from you through your books, somehow urged me to visit Vrindavan and Mayapur. I booked the flight tickets without knowing much about India. I’m so grateful for your revealing the timeless wisdom of bhakti to the world that gave me a chance to tap into the ancient wisdom of mankind, through which I came to know the reality of my own existence!”
